1) Page 300, second column, 4th paragraph currently reads:
P[ T_x ] : The probability the citizen dies on or before attaining age x years.

It actually should read:
P[ T £ x ] : The probability the citizen dies on or before attaining age x years.

2) Page 301, first column, under 1st paragraph currently reads:
1_Q_(x + t) = P [ T_ x + t + 1 | T > x + t ]

It actually should read :
1_Q_(x + t) = P [ T £ x + t + 1 | T > x + t ]

3) Page 301, first column, under 2nd paragraph currently reads:
Event 2 : { T_x + t + 1 | T > x + t }

It actually should read :
Event 2 : { T £ x + t + 1 | T > x + t }

Authors Note: I apologize to the readership for errors that confuse the notation used but I must clarify that a clean errorless copy was submitted to ASCE for publication. In the future, each author should be given the opportunity to review proofs before actual publication to avoid repetition of a disaster like this.
